New Flatbreads, New Flatbread Menu

We’ve had this idea for a while that the grilled flatbreads could be a centerpiece for a lot of what we do here. On the other hand — probably because the place isn’t called the Flatbreadery — it may have taken longer than we thought to devote our full love to the flatbread side of things. But the time has come: Max and Matt and Lisa reworked the whole flatbread today, and we are rolling out a menu of different flatbreads which will be always available.

Here’s why I think the flatbread menu rocks:

* Flatbreads are an excellent way to experience a few of the awesome ingredients we get in house, without eating a whole bunch of foods

* Flatbreads are delicious.

* I have a crush on Full of Life Foods, both their restaurant and their frozen products. And they are flatbreads.

* Flatbreads are pretty affordable, we can sell them for around 15 bucks which is amazing to me considering the provenance of the ingredients and the hand-work that goes into it.

* I love whole wheat anything, and whole wheat pizzas and flatbreads are not widely available in town.

* The new flatbreads look really cool! (Hint: not circular. But not square.)

The first new flatbread rolled out today, it’s got house made chorizo from grassfed beef, and goat cheese, and a garlic sauce, and onions, and it is delicious (see item #2, above). More tomorrow!’

UPDATE: Today Max and the kitchen added a margherita and a veggie flatbread, too.
