UPDATE: You can read the story here for the next few days. (Thanks to Ken B. for sending me the link.)
This weekend’s Wall Street Journal has an article on real ale which is a great read. And I don’t just say that ’cause they mention the Linkery as a place to get cask beer. Though we dig that, too.
Is it just me, or was there more than a little snide editorializing in that article?
Cool that you got mentioned in the WSJ though.
I consider it more than an honor. I feel proud to be involved in an establishment that provides real beer the way my forefathers have drank it. Bring on the warm flat beer.
Josh, I didn’t think the writer contributed snide editorializing. Actually, I think the writer appreciates real ale (or he wouldn’t have gone to trouble to find establishments that are serious about it).
I was surprised that the writer was able to find places that had served cask ale and didn’t like it. Now, that just speaks of not loving great beer!
I agree. The only snideness I detected was that he said where to get real beer, and not bubbly underbrewed beer that other larger companies provide.
Or, is that overbrewed….
I may be overbrewed. It’s certainly happened before. Usually someone’s fault at Hamilton’s or the Turf.
Probably Hamilton’s.
